I thought Lee Sharp has written in various places here that none of the GeoVision cards work with Linux. I hope you get a more positive answer but that's the information I've been going on as I've been researching cards.
GeoVision uses the mux chip as a security key for there software. They keep this a big secret, so no one can get the spec to write the driver. I had 10 of them. I even offered a free one to someone to write a driver. I sold them on ebay. Sorry... I did find another solution, and it ended up being cheaper. Feel free to PM me if you want it. (Don't want to blatantly advertise.)
