Hi, I'm new to zoneminder and to this forum and I realy searched for a walktrough topic to Debian Etch, since the official Debian tutorial is for Debian 3.1 and it's not working for me at all. In the midle of the tutorial it return me that are dependencies missing or without an apropriate candidate.
I would apreciate a lot if anyone point me in the right direction.
Best regards

I take it that your after a walkthrough for Debian Etch not zoneminder.
He's one for Etch that I've used that adds alot of services required by zoneminder.

Chris,
It seems to me that this Debian setup is very complete and all but I was looking for a Debian 4.0 Etch setup that have only the zoneminder requiriments and the zoneminder itself. Something realy specific.
But thanks a lot for the link. I'll gladly test this setup for more general purposes.
Cheers

If you're looking for a minimum setup - just follow the debian install and don't select any additional packages, just the base system.
When booted, "apt-get install zoneminder" and it will add the required packages like Apache, Mysql etc.
