Gentlemen,
can ZoneMinder work along with those video encoders/servers by Axis?
Thank you.

Axis video server vs cards
This probably counts as a hijack, sorry.
I'm looking at adding a lot of analog cams in the future (increase in quantity needed, sticking with their IP cams where I need quality). I'm quite happy with my Axis IP cams (207, 207W, 221, 223M). Any recommendations on whether I should use capture cards for the analogs in my ZM box vs axis video servers?

Re: Axis video server vs cards
Depends on the resolution you are wanting. Video capture cards will show interlacing at higher-then-320x240 images (ie 640x480). Axis video servers will show a crisp picture at higher resolutions...with triple the cost for the blades.coke wrote:This probably counts as a hijack, sorry.

PV-149 = 4 port video capture card @ 30 FPS per port using 640x480
