Browser looses connection- refresh, refresh, refresh

I have been using ZM for a while starting with the LiveCD and Bluecherry LiveCD with excellent results on some old hardware. I am now needing a system with a little horse power and decided to build an AMD 64 server. I was unable to find a LiveCD for that platform so I installed Ubuntu 7.10 Server and experienced some difficulty with a generic(Sabrent?) saa7134 4 port card that loaded the messages logfile with "exit status 255" restarting zmc errors. So I ditched the saa7134 card for a PV-149 from bluecherry. Installed Open Suse 10.3 and hardware seems to be happy but I have a feeling something related to apache is not.

I would appreciate any assistance to solve this issue.

--Eric

The Box:
PV-149 detected as card=98, 3 inputs being used. 2 modect, 1 monitor.
AMD 4000+ dual core 64-bit, Gigiabyte board with Nvidia chipset, Nvidia Ethernet (forcedeth driver), 1GB Ram, 400 Gb SATA Disk. OpenSuse 10.3, ZM installed from wiki instructions - liquid repo, Yast

The Problem:
On 3 different PPC Macs, Camino browser seems to work better than most. 1 computer no errors at all ever. the other 2 will load the console page fairly quickly with a refresh or two.
Internet explorer 5.2 for Mac, granted is getting old but only able to get to login screen and user/pass input just repeats never getting to the console. Not that I care really, but, might shed some light.

WindowsXP, IE7, about 50% of the time, when opening the "ZM-Console" using http://10.0.0.105/zm/ it will pop up a page requesting user/pass but the font is real basic looking. Login and it refreshes with the login page again, but, this time a prettier looking font. login and the page will stall for 10-15 seconds and either show the console or give a page cannot be displayed error.
If I use http://10.0.0.105/zm/index.php adding the index.php it will almost always give a page cannot be displayed error. Refresh several times over a 15-20 second period and it will eventually load, maybe..

I even installed zm4ms and it seemed to work better, however, when left running a while it timed out and when refreshed, no feed.
Go to a browser on the same box, refresh the page http://10.0.0.105/zm/ several times and eventually getting it to load up, then, zm4ms loaded the cameras right up.

Firefox browser is less problematic, however, index.php will "timeout" and when refreshed, nothing for a time then it will load and login.

Logs:

The only thin that looks like an error to me would be from apache2 error_log everything else looks fine.

Re: Browser looses connection- refresh, refresh, refresh

Try changing ZM_PATH_ZMS path in the options to /cgi-bin/zms instead of nph-zms. This may or may not help, but it's worth a shot

phrak9 wrote:I have been using ZM for a while starting with the LiveCD and Bluecherry LiveCD with excellent results on some old hardware.
