I am looking to setup a zm system for my home. Currently I am looking at a Toshiba ikwb21a under an eve at the roof line of a 2 story house so it would have a view of the front and one side of the house. The front door is shielded from sun, so I am thinking a ikwb15 would work well in there.
I see these are not on the support list in the wiki, but having searched the forums and I see people talking about them. I was able to find a public ikwb15 and tested the url to get the jpg.
Using a mac, I see the problem is the activex web control, that is sorta lame for sure. But if I can get full ptz support setup in zm I do not see the need to go back to the cams webpage.
One question, will zm do motdet from two different presets? So goto preset one, get img, goto preset two, get img, go back to one get img and compare for motdet etc etc.
The selling factor on these cams is the price point. The 15, being an outdoor rated cam, and the 21 for being a ptz with guard patrol type duty rating for $900.
I was looking at an axis 213ptz for about the same price (and I know their software is MUCH better) but it says "The AXIS 213 PTZ is not designed for continuous PTZ movements e.g. Guard tour. For continuous movement, please see Axis network dome offering" which I am guessing means it would not do what I want by going back and forth to two areas to get img.
Any suggestions?
