Hello!

This one is directed mostly at the developers.

I've been looking for good wrappers that use the V4L stuff, and the zm_local_camera looks like a great one. I haven't been able to extricate the code from the whole "framework" of ZoneMinder.

I was just curious if you derived your LocalCamera class from some other source or if you might have a development version that isn't as tightly integrated into your product.

No, the code was not derived from anywhere, aside from small snippets of V4L stuff. Unfortunately there isn't a more detached version either, though I don't think you'll have too much problem extracting the useful bits.
