Hello All

I am thinking about buying one of these cards.

SK-2000F - Four Channel Digital Video Capture Card
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BNIB-4-CHANNEL-PC ... dZViewItem

It appears to have a Conexant Fusion 878A chip.

But before i go ahead and waste more money on yet another card,
i have a couple of questions that i hope someone may be able to answer for me.

My concern is whether or not it would work in either of the following systems.

System 1.

Motherboard: ECS K7VMM+
Processor: 1300 Duron
RAM: 512MB DDR 266
Graphics: 32MB AGP (GeForce2)
HDD: 80G 7200rpm

System 2.

Motherboard: PcChips M810D
Processor: Onboard 1300 Duron
RAM: 512MB DDR 266
Graphics: Onboard upto 64MB
HDD: 80G 7200rpm

The reason i ask, is that it says

System Requirements.
Memory:256M or more
HDD: 80G 7200/s
CPU: PIII 800MHz or more
Operate System: Windows 2000 / XP / Vista ultimate
Display model:1024*768 32bit
Install Directx 8.0 or more advanced

Does that mean it has to be a Pentium CPU ?

Hope someone can clarify this for me

I'm pretty sure they mean that it should be the equivalent of the Pentium III but that an AMD or other x86 with reasonable power would suffice.

At £14.99 it's not a great risk but I personally would not buy something unless it fit into a technology plan of some sort. In my opinion, this might be worth a try if you have Windows around in case it does not work on Linux.
Good luck.
