I am using zoneminder 1.17 with apache2 and php4.

I can go to the site, it asks for a login and password, I set one up in the config, but no matter which password and username combination I use, it always lets me in, and the options button, the add new monitor button, etc all don't work (are greyed out). The only button that works is "Refresh". At the top it says
"Logged In As , configured for high bandwidth" it doesnt say a username. Is my auth broken? how do you set it up in the first place, I can't seem to find anything that describes how that all works, or is configured.

Next, I tried running webcam, it gives me

so that leads me to believe the input is working.

next I tried zmc --device 0

I get:

Anyone have any clue what the login problem is?, is the zmc failing because I havent logged in properly, and thus cant add the monitor, so I cant get zmc to attach to it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm out of ideas here.

oops, I didnt have the .webcamrc configured, but I did configure it and i got a color image from the capture device, so that is working OK... output follows.

Hi mike, its really a bug in version 1.17.0... i had problems with it to...


The username you need to enter is not that wich you have configured in the instalation, but the defualt

User : admin
Pass : admin

then you can change it after....

the login bug in 1.17.0 was fixed yesterday in versio 1.17.1, so, i recommend you to upgrade it..

But before, try the admin/admin user and see if that works.. it sohould be ok

that makes the cam work now, BUT the input is the TV tuner, not the composite1, any idea how to set the input?
and where?
