HI folks!
I`ve bought a rimax7100 surveillance cam with sd slot.
It generates jpeg files as frames in the sd memory card(motion trigered). So, its a great choice for most cases.
But I have a problem. I cant find any tool to convert the jpeg frames into avi/or if possible, to reproduce as video directly from the jpegs.
thank you for attention.

Search on how to use ffmpeg to generate video. You can make mpeg or ave from the command line easily.

If you have windows available, you could use Windows Movie Maker which comes with XP.

I encountered this problem recently and after struggling with various mpeg tools I found a much better solution. Easy to use, works reliably, doesn't care how many files you give it or what size they are. You probably aren't going to like it though. Its QuickTime Pro. I bought it for my Mac but I would hope its no different on Windows. You just point at at the first file of a series of JPEGs with sequence numbers in their titles, it thinks for a minute or so, and produces a movie. Then you can play, single-step, slow-motion, and edit it. For US$30 it has saved me more time than I care to think about.

It is faster than a single command pointed at a directory? Wow!
But I am glad it does the job for you. There can never be enough tools!
