Hello. I have a problem related to video streaming in the air. When Im viewing an axis camera at 30 fps with a 100m ethernet cable, its normal .
But when i try to do the same with a 54mbit router and wireless card of same technology without any security option enabled(wep/wpa), i got bad results.

the stream stops for a second at every 8 seconds aprox. besides this, If i use mpeg4 with a GOV setting more than 1 (132max) I can get a ghost effect when there is a movement in the scene.

I`ve enabled the quos , but it wont solve the problem.
the router is a cheap one. I have tried with another one that was more expensive. in both cases there was no other traffic but the traffic of the camera.

Are you getting the same result? what could it be?

you wonbt get 54meg wireless and you will drop speed with range. I wonder how far from ap you are?

Also why 30fp if you drop to say 5 (throttle cam not zm) does itt still happen?

The distance is very close, about a metre. i didn`t describe all the details thinking that it`s a common problem. Or maybe theoretically it must be so.

with 30fps i menat that the video was very fluid and from the camera settings there were no limitations set-up.

WiFi as a platform, stinks. It is a interference issue, a latency issue, or all of the above. Get a solid AP (not router) and lock it down and see what happens.
