Calculate auth hash

i am creating a windows application to watch Zoneminder cameras / events. i am aware of ZM4MS, however, i find this app abit too complex and not perfectly fit for my requirements, skipping the fact i really DON'T like .net 
i was wondering how is the auth hash composed. i asume it's a MD5 hash of user and pass / user, pass ipaddress (depending on ZM config) but i don't know the order, or if it has any other chars in the unhashed string.
