Mocord: Events, alarms, and schedules?

I've installed ZoneMinder 1.23.3 on a CentOS 5.1 machine. I have my cameras feeding and everything with the initial configuration is working correctly.

I have two cameras that are in Mocord mode currently and they appear to be constantly recording (the status of the cameras is always in the record state) and generating a new event every 10 minutes (none of which contain any alarm frames). Is this by design? I'm working with a small amount of disk space so ideally I'd like events only to be generated when the zones I've configured are triggered. Can this be done?

My third camera is in an office space that I'd only like to be in Mocord mode during off hours. Is this something that can be configured? Or will I just have to create a filter to nuke events that don't fall within a certain block of time?

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can use run states to enable and disable monitors using cron.

Also, use Modect mode instead of Mocord. Mocord is continuous recording, with the addition of motion detection to flag events and save them separately. Modect is pure motion detection, with recording of events only when motion is detected.
