What is better for my application? Analog or Megapixel?

Hey all,
I'm just recently completing a 12 camera rollout at a store I work at. I've been called upon to now do a friend's warehouse. A large one at that. My experience with ZM at the store was great. I used analog cameras running at 320x240 resolution at 5 fps. Given the budget the picture from the cameras was largely acceptable and clear, mostly because the primary subjects being recorded were roughly 10' away but some of the cameras were being used to cover aisles (20'-40' distances). Resolution was still so-so, and I would prefer to have had full NTSC resolution. However, this warehouse I would likely be covering in some areas 50'-100' or even more. I'd like to get feedback from others who have deployed ZM systems in a similar environment. I'm wondering if using megapixel cameras would be worthwhile given the amount of area that needs to be covered.
The primary objective is surveillance of night shift employees in the warehouse staging area, so I'm not looking to capture license plates 50' away, but I need to be able to see individuals with enough clarity to figure out who they are.
Your responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
