Hangs on login authentication

I have zoneminder on 3 different systems using Fedora 8. At about the same time in the last week or so, I have been unable to log into zoneminder on any of the 3 computers. It comes up to the log in screen. When I type a correct username and password it just hangs saying Logging in. It will do this for days and never proceed. I finally gave up and reinstalled one system from scratch with Fedora 9. As soon as I got everything up and running on zoneminder, I restarted it. This one hangs as well.

Apparently there is something in one of the updates but I don't know where and don't know which file I can edit to take away the user authenication to try and see if the problem is with zoneminder or the authentication only.

Right now I have 3 computers that I can't log into.

Which file can I edit to turn login authentication off?

There are some will known authentication problems in 1.22 with any kind of encrypted auth. You might try plane, or 1.23 for a solution.

For this version of ZM you need to build with OpenSSL for Authentication to work properly. There are options in the newer versions to use either OpenSSL or gnuTLS.
