Infrared Glare

Someone burgled a property of mine, and it spurred me to get a zm server up and running. I just purchased a switching infrared camera with long-range leds to help me catch the license plates of cars driving off the property. There are no lights set up to illuminate the area, but while I was doing some testing I noticed that the glare of the metallic license plates was so great as to not be able to make out the numbers.

What would you all suggest that I do about deploying a camera system that would be able to capture license plates at about 50 - 100 foot range? I am up to all suggestions, even returning the current camera that I have to get another better performing one.

The camera I purchased is here: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... =Q300-2306

Thanks in advance for your help.

you will need a specialist reg camera to reliably capture number plates, made bt derwent. not cheap but stuff that works well rarely is. you will get conventional cams to capture too but not in all conditions.
