Hi All,

so i got my ZM setup on my Linux SuSE 10.3 box, seems to be running fine (compiled , web, etc...).

bought 2 basic CCTV cameras on Saturday, plugged them in andddd.. nothing :( .

On IE -- blank black squares

On FireFox :
/dev/video0 -- "Buffering...98%...99%.... 244Kb-338Kb..etc..... then displays nothing
/dev/video1 -- "getting playlist...., connecting to.... Stopped"

Devices in /DEV:
video --> video0
video0
video1
video2
video3

Capture Card Detected by SuSE:

0 - TV: SAA7130 Video Broadcast Decoder
1 - TV: SAA7130 Video Broadcast Decoder
2 - TV: SAA7130 Video Broadcast Decoder
3 - TV: SAA7130 Video Broadcast Decoder

(No tuners)
Configured as TV card number 0, 1, 2,3
Driver: saa7134

as for the cameras, not much to tell... no mfg or model on it!!!!
CCTV - "Excellent picture in our camera, over expectation in your mind"

as for xawtv /dev/video0, black window.
as for the capture card, its a 4-channel, I plugged it in and SuSE did the rest, I didn't do any modprode stuff, I just went into the sys config TV cards applet, there were 4 channels listed, I just "configured them"

any help appreciated.

Sounds like a miss-configured capture card. But it could be crap cameras. Try running the output of a DVD player into the capture card and see if you get signal...
