1 chip connexant card and no images.....

Post by angelhod »

hey

i was using kodicom 4400 for almost 3 years.... but few weeks ago i think
it broke down because all 3 cameras went out....
after few trials i thought that must be something with the card...
so i bought almost the same one.... but with only 1 chip because all i need is 3-4 cams....
so first i've checked it on windows.... and it worked...
then i put it into my slack 12.0.0
changed my modprobe.conf into :
alias char-major-81 bttv
options i2c_algo_bit bit_test=1
options bttv gbuffers=32 card=77 tuner=4 radio=0 coring=1 full_luma_range=1 chroma_agc=1 combfilter=1 autoload=0 triton1=0 vsfx=0
but all i got is the same result as it was with my old card...

all logs are fine... except some errors in apache logs:
[Fri Sep 26 14:35:25 2008] [warn] [client 192.168.2.20] Timeout waiting for output from CGI script /usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin/nph-zms, referer: http://192.168.2.200/zm/index.php?view= ... 0&control=

Your apache log suggests that something has changed in your Apache configuration or that nph-zms s no longer available on that path or corrupt.

The rest of the errors suggest that maybe the driver is not being setup so what do you have in dmesg for this card being initialized?

thanks for answer Cordel but after i hashed this line
alias char-major-81 bttv
it worked....

but still it is not what i wanted .....
well i thought that the only difference between kodicom 4400
and this one will be : only 4 cameras and 25fps......

but now when i start one monitor..... then add another one and rotate it
the the first one is smashing.....
