Zoneminder FTP image to a server?

Post by cadillackid »

first off im running ZM 1.22.3 on FC6

Here is what i am trying to do, I want to give certain people access to my Cam images via my website.. basicilly like Webcam.. right now I have ZM running and successfully capturing images and using Motion detection on 3 cameras... works like a champ...

what do i want to do?

I want the system to periodically (every 30 seconds or so) pop an image of each of the 3 cams to an FTP server regardless of the Alarm state.. so I want the alarm detection to stay as it is as I dont want to record all the time continuously.. but yet have an image uploaded to FTP periodically..

the FTP would save it as the same filename all the time and just overwrite the previous.. I need my webserver to be able to get the image and go when someone logs into the website..

whats the best way to go about this?

I read a little on filters but that appears to be for just when an event is generated, not when the cams are idle.... I want this to occur all the time, idle or not... the FTP server is on the LAN (same machine.. the Host OS of the ZM machine... ZM runs as a VM )..
