I have searched over the forums for the past couple of days trying to find a solution to my problem. I have found a couple places where people are having a similar issue but their fixes are not working for me, so at the risk of being flamed for asking whats already been answered,.........

I purchased a PV-981 16ch card from Bluecherry.net.

I'm using the Bluecherry live CD based on Xubuntu. Everything loads properly and I am able to see 8 of the cameras. Specifically I can see Video0/0-Video3/0 and Video0/1-Video3/1. It's my understanding that the other 8 cams should be at Video0/2-video3/2 and video0/3-video3/3 however when I add these it just gets a broken image icon and it also breaks the corresponding channels that are working. In other words, If I have the first 8 added to zoneminder and then add Video0/2 it not only doesnt work but it also breaks video0/0 and video0/1.

I would really appreciate any help anyone could offer. According to bluecherry this is just supposed to work without any modprobe commands but when I told bluecherry support it was on zoneminder they will only point me to the zoneminder forums.

perhaps the cards need some modprobing after all.

That took care of that issue. Everything seems to be working now although I'm intermittantly getting broken images instead of the live feed. Anyone know if thats normal?
