Is it possible to perform motion detection/frame analysis at lower resolution and then capture at greater detail once alarm is triggered?

For performance reasons, I'd like to be able to perform motion detection (ie. capture/analysis) at 320x240. It would be inherently faster to perform the image analysis at a lower resolution. Once a alarm is triggered, I'd like to switch to greater to detail and capture the alarm event at 640x480.

No this is not currently possible, though I will make a note of it for future consideration. The closest you can get to it at present is just to capture at a low FPS but configure it to capture at full rate on detection.
