on large ip cams resolution when you zoom (1.23.3) in you will almost always lose the timestamp what if it was added to the html page itself like under when it says rate x zoom x etc..

you could do that but most want it 'burnt' into the jpg. There are huge implications to not having it permanently in the jpg

The images come in a stream of what could be several frames per second. It would thrash your browser to try and keep up with that, plus it would probably never really be in step especially with mpeg type streams (buffered in players) or if you are using the DVR functions, e.g. pause, rewind etc.
