Ping Long

Hallo, I've do new server with Ubuntu Server 8.04.1 and zoneminder 1.22.3.
It's all ok but when i view from remote the streaming is very slow and the ping to the server is 3000/5000 ms.
How can resolve this problem?

Prior to installing ZoneMinder, did you try a ping test to the machine? Stop ZM and see if your pings are still so long. I'm guessing either your server or remote location has a horrible internet connection.

When zm is stopping i've a good ping to my server (60-70 ms).
If i start zm the ping is again good but when i view stream (http://ip-server/zm) the ping increase to 2000-5000 ms. When I close the browser the ping is again good.

What are the stats on the server? If it is heavily loaded, the network will slow down before the capture will.

I've try with IE and the ping with the streaming is ok.
The problem is only with Firefox 3.0 on Ubuntu.

mjpeg streaming is broken in FF3.0 and leaves connections open. Get FF2, or Opera. (Or the latest bleeding edge beta where they may have fixed it.)
