Axis streaming from https Feature Request/Offer

Post by betulichergutmensch »

Hi Phil,

I'm working for a computer lab at the Humboldt-Universitaet in Berlin (Germany). They'd like to have the opportunity to stream from Axis Cams (atm 210A) over https/ssl to the zoneminder-server through a secure connection, beacuse of data sniffing and security concerns in a big network.

Atm I think there's no such possibilty built-in, my Axis 210A with only http work perfectly, with https over port 443 they don't.

My computer lab is willing to pay for your work, if you were able to implement this feature. I'm looking forward to hearing from you: schumann@informatik.hu-berlin.de.

Best regards,
Robert

It may not be as secure as SSL but have you looked at MPEG4 (multicast / unicast / RTSP transfers) in 1.24?
