event reports on demand

Ok, this one should be alot more do-able (and may already be possible)!
It would be most useful to be able to send an email that would "trigger" the sending of a notification message for recent events. This would optimize the functionality of the notification messaging feature.
Essentially, instead of a filter match executing a command, a command would execute a filter.
For example, setting up a cron job to check for emails with a specific word or phase in the subject header would be no biggie. But once received, is there a way to have ZM execute a filter that would send a notification message for the last recorded event(s)? Cuz it would be pretty dang cool if it could, huh?
