I have setup Zoneminder 1.23X and using 6 CCTV cameras and all is working well. My client has ask me to add a television monitor to his system so that people can see themselves walking into the building. There is a security camera next to the monitor and that is the camera view that he wants on the television screen. I ran zmu -u /dev/video5 -q -v and I can see that the dvr card is seeing the television and it is on channel 0, PAL, Flags 1 and tail -f of /var/log/messages show me that zmc_dvideo5 is capturing at 20 FPS. I have the television set to monitor, /dev/video5/, channel 0, PAL, capture width 320X240, orientation normal. I have 8 bnc input and a second vga connector and am wondering if that is the output connector? I checked the specs and it will only tell me of the input connectors? I wonder if I need a second vga card for secondary output and the connect the security survellance tv screen to that card?
Here is the dvr card that I am using that works great!

Wouldnt it be easier to use a splitter on the video feed to route video from camera to zm and monitor?
Or is it VGA only monitor?
Not sure what the other connector on the capture card is for, but I really doubt it is a VGA output.
