Hi, I've set up Zone Minder 0.9.15 on SuSE 8.0 with 2.4.18 kernel.

Whenever I run

zmc --device 0

it returns immediately and I get the following logged:

The camera does work with xawtv however.

Any pointers on what's going wrong here?

Hi Billy,

I'm not sure why it fails but some drivers report a failure but are quite happy to carry on. Have you tried setting the STRICT_VIDEO_CONFIG option off as it will make errors like these non-fatal. Hopefully it will get you a little further at least.

Phil,

As far as I am concerned, I have the same cam than you but it does work.I use a Mandrake 9.1.
xawtv has to be started with the -c option...
