How far is motion detected?

Hello,
How far away from the camera will zoneminder detect motion? Or does it depend on the camera?

It depends on a number if things including image quality, zones you might define, and how the sesativity is set in the zone.
I found the motion detection set quite well with the 'out-of-the-box' setting. If you have an issue with detect, you should enable the option "ZM_CREATE_ANALYSIS_IMAGES Whether to create analysed alarm images with motion outlined " on the Config page.
The analysis images show exactly what triggered an event.
