error message in /var/log/syslog ?

Post by timf »

my syslog file is filling up with this

Mar 19 10:57:08 zoneminder zmc_m4[1739]: WAR [Corrupt JPEG data: 12 extraneous bytes before marker 0xc0]
Mar 19 10:57:08 zoneminder zmc_m5[2553]: WAR [Corrupt JPEG data: 12 extraneous bytes before marker 0xc0]

many times per second - they are being generated by a couple of USB webcams running mjpegstreamer remotely on a NSLU2.

For them to stream ok I have to select regexp - not sure if this is the probelm.

Other wise everything is working 100% having followed the Ubuntu 8.10 install guide.

Any ideas ?

Thanks Tim

Hello,

I am currently working a project where a webcam transmission feed is sent via UDP from a C server to a Java client, using a UDP plugin for mjpegstreamer.

I am getting the same error message that you talk about in your post. I was wondering if you ever figured out what the issue was?

Thanks.
