hello All,

I am building an Ubuntu box that will run ZM, and I need to understand how should I partition the disk.

Given that it shall be used for ZM and nightly backups of another server only, I planned to have a 20 GB /, and a 470 GB /home. I shall be the only user of the system.

Can be ZM be configured to run off, say, /home/user/video ...?
Or is it better to leave it under /usr....?

thanks for your time,
cheers,
-Gian

I believe by default ZM uses dirs under /var (/var/www/html/zm/events), but you can put them anywhere either via configuration, or moving and symlinking dirs afterwards.

I would put most of the space in /usr and intend to have ZM use that parition for the events storage.
