I was testing the ins and outs of my new DVD when I noticed a small bug again in the control section. The SVN version should be 2846.
On the control tab when edit is clicked next to control type a new menu comes up. On that menu when a new type is made and remote is selected for type and save is hit, the control type does not show up in the drop down box to be selected. Everything works fine if local is selected instead. I've restarted zoneminder, didn't help. I remember having issues with saving months ago but that was fixed in 1.24.1. If anyone has a quick fix for this, that would be great.

I'll install it in my VPS and try it again. Just want to make sure, you selected remote under type and hit save and it appeared in the drop down box? If I left it default at local and hit save it worked correct. Just thought that was weird. I'll look for any errors and try again.
edit: Just looked at my online demo, it's working fine with SVN. That's strange, maybe it was my browser or something.
edit: I must have selected local for the device created a remote control profile, and it appears zoneminder is smart enough to not list the remote option in the drop down menu when you have a device that is set for local. When I went back and changed it to remote then the remote control profiles I setup showed up. Sorry for the false alarm.
