Can't seem to create zones.

I'm trying to create zones so that bandwidth and resources are not being wasted due to false alarms. There is a camera in a hallway facing 2 doors. One door has a small window on it (leads to stairwell) and the other to our office. When ever someone is walking in the stairwell area past the door, it sets off the alerts and alarms stating that there was an event. However its a false possitive. Yes there was motion but no it doesn't affect us. I've tried to adjust the zones to no affect and here is why:

I click on the option to bring up the zones routine. Then click on the name of the zone (currently set to ALL) to bring up the adjustment options. It opens up and I notice right away that the "ZONE AREA" field is GREYED out. I can't add or remove points. There is one set of 4 points on the screen set to the full size of the window. I've tried to add additional zones but they are always set to 100% area. If I manually move the pointers around, they go back to 100% when I click save.

Any tips on how I can fix this? Did I miss something in a configuration?

Thanks a bunch

Carlo

[edit] checked the logs and was getting buffer errors. Increased shared mem and increased frame buffer. This solved the errors with the buffer, however it has not solved the problem with being able to creating zones. Zone Area is still greyed out.

Yep I pushed both to get to the point where I can edit the zones. But the zones do not change, and the Zone Area selection is always set to 100% - and greyed out so I can not adjust.

[edit]

did a zmu -m 2 -v -q if that helps:

Thanks a bunch I was using IE. Just installed Firefox at my office. Works great now (albeit our install of firefox is a tad old and seems to be a bit unstable - but old and unstable is better than what I was getting out of the newer IE)
