I just installed ubuntu 9.04, I then followed all the install procedures I could find for zoneminder, I can now get zoneminder console to run at
http://127.0.0.1/zm/ I have ZERO experience with linux/ubuntu & zoneminder for that matter, but I do have significant windows/networking knowledge. Is there some commands I missed to set the static IP for the zoneminder console ? Thanks..
Zoneminder version : v1.23.3
It appears I also need to upgrade to v.1.24 ??
Let me know if I need to post further setup information.
anyone

You got zoneminder running a system and you can access it at
http://127.0.0.1/zm. If you trying to access it from a different machine on the same network you want to type ifconfig at the console. The " inet addr:" will be the IP address of you're machine and you can then access it with http://<ip>/zm.
Setting the IP address of the Linux box Zoneminder is running on is a Linux administration topic. You can't set an the IP address of the Linux box through the Zoneminder console. I would do a Google search on changing IP addresses on the Linux distribution you are using.

The walkthrough for 8.10 should probably also work for 9.04.
