In 1.24.1 (I also tried SVN checkout from today), I'm trying to configure a Panasonic WV-NF302 but I just can't get it to work.
From Panasonic support I was told to enable RTSP I need to do the following :
http://ip_addr/cgi-bin/set_rtsp?rtsp_mode=1&rtsp_port=554
Using "vlc" in RTSP mode I get a great image -- but it ain't working in zoneminder.
The monitor camera general configuration is in Remote mode with Maximum FPS of 30 and FPS alarm 30.
The source tab has the following:
Remote protocol : RTSP
Remote Method : RTP/RTSP
Remote Host Name : 192.168.1.27
Remote Host Port : 554
Remote Host Path : MediaInput/mpeg4
Remote Host SubPath : /trackID=
Pixels : 640 x 480 in 24 bit color
Zoneminder's debug output :
zm_debug.log.16144:[rtsp @ 0x6313c30]hello state=0
zm_debug.log.16144:05/16/09 17:51:18.165846 zmc_m9[-1].DB2-zm_remote_camera_rtsp.cpp/112 [Waiting for sources]

zm_debug.log.16144:05/16/09 17:51:18.899058 zmc_m9[-1].DB2-zm_rtsp.cpp/70 [Received RTSP response: RTSP/1.0 503 Service Unavailable
zm_debug.log.16144:05/16/09 17:51:18.899118 zmc_m9[-1].ERR-zm_rtsp.cpp/90 [Unexpected response code 503, text is 'Service Unavailable']
zm_debug.log.16144:05/16/09 17:51:23.172760 zmc_m9[-1].FAT-zm_remote_camera_rtsp.cpp/118 [No RTSP sources]
I had it working using openRTSP but I just want to use the RTSP mode included in zoneminder.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Pierre B.

I don't know anything about these cameras so...
What is the URL that you are using in VLC?
You have your Remote Host Path as "MediaInput/peg4" - did you mean "MediaInput/mpeg4"? That still doesn't look right - I can access my camera in vlc with "rtsp://x.x.x.x:554/live.sdp" the "/live.sdp" being the Remote Host Path. Check your camera's WebUI to see if there is something similar that you should be using.
