It's possible to detect a non-functional cam + send email?

I am thinking about to create some filter to inform by email when some camera in non-functional, when a camera doesn't work.

Or other interestin point, may somebody steal you some camera, how we can detect this actions?



I think it is a really important thing for all systems.


Do you have some experieces with this?
