Hi all, today i was finding out how to detect when my screen gets blue.
Blue screen means uplugged or broken camera.
Do you someone some perl script to do that?
I what to create alarms (email reporting) when the camera is unplugged or broken.
thanks.

I know that ZM automatically detects loss of video signal (blue screen). I'm not sure that you can specify events to happen at that time though, you may have to add some of your own code.

You could set up a filter that matches on events with Signal as the Cause (or in Notes I'm not sure which field off the top of my head). This could then execute a script or send a mail etc. There would be a short lag but not more than a handful of minutes.

Whilst looking at this issue I have found a problem with the signal loss detection for analog cameras so it might not work anyway at the moment. I have done a fix and am testing it locally first.

It would be great to have this function for analog and ip cams in zoneminder.
May be some criminal stole a camera or paint the camera with shave foam and we never be advice
thank you.
