Ubuntu 8.10 - shared memory problems

I'm running Ubuntu server 8.10, and having problems with the default ZoneMinder installation. I am trying to connect to a Linksys WVC210 which shows a mjpeg stream at /img/video.mjpeg but I can't see the video when using Zoneminder.

I see these errors in /var/log/syslog:

Code: Select all

Jun 2 12:05:41 247 zmwatch[1172]: ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0001', 1: No such file or directory]
Jun 2 12:05:41 247 zmwatch[1172]: INF [Restarting capture daemon for cam, shared memory not valid]
Jun 2 12:05:43 247 zmu[2375]: ERR [Can't shmget, probably not enough shared memory space free: Invalid argument]
Any idea how to fix this? My server is an Intel P3 800 with 1Gig ram.

Thanks!

do a ctrl-f on the documentation it tells you how to fix it

shared memory is the keyword

EDIT:if you can figure it out post and ask

Don't do that. Either provide the answer or a URL to click on to find the answer. Don't provide direction on how to search.

Your directions make NO sense... the "documentation" page directs you to the wiki... which you can't do a ctrl-f on.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
Sometimes you must find your own solution and you remember them better if you don't give them the how to. (using myself as an example.)

if he post back for help and will gave him another push in the right direction

ps: Also searching the forum helps too in attention to reading documentation.
