It would be a really nice feature to be able to view the zoneminder logs from the web interface. Of course log file viewing should be limited by user.

i think the reson this is not done is because it gives away a lot of info you may not want to expose to the inet

There is a feature under development to include important system events in the database so you will be able to browse them as you would video events.
