zm 1.24.1 - any luck with a AXIS 241QA network video server?

Post by x0SiN0x »

Im looking to add the video feeds from this device into zoneminder, I think it will provide a bit more flexibility for motion capture. Not having any luck at this point, not sure if its the URL im providing under the source tab or what.

source is set to (ive also tried no password as set up in the axis unit)

Remote Host Name: user:pass@<ip>
Remote Host Port: 80
Remote Host Path: /mjpg/1/video.mjpg

in my browser this works and using another motion sensing alternative to zoneminder called "motion". But zoneminder doesnt seem to like something about this.

A quick search pulls up this:
http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... t=axis+241
Maybe that is of use.

Give a go with some of the Axis presets in ZM. All Axis firmware is fairly similar and the only difference is likely the added string to choose the input you want since you have four. Also look on the Axis web site, all their products are extreamly well documented there as well as their API. Probably the best documented products on the market.
