[Can't get shared memory id '7a6d0007', 7: No such file or d

Sorry if this posts twice, timed out in process of puttingthis together

AMD64
newest Ubuntu
1.24 -zoneminder
installed server then apt-get desktop

When installing camera I get...

To which I read through the archives and says to change memory in sysctl.conf

#kernal.shmall = 33554432
#kernal.shmmax = 33554432


no help. Perhaps I don't have enough memory to begin with?

I can see all four cameras with xawtv and use the cards that this here web pages suggests.

Also sometimes I get a black screen on a camera but usually it remanins blanco.

This seems to have the answer... but dude doesn't explain it exactly

Have you turned on debug to see what error your getting from zmc?

Thanks for the response.

In the options menu or something via the command line?

Looking at the the documentation under logging and then the option page where there is a number of debug options. Could you be a bit more specific?

turned on extra_debug from option page and getting, something may be up with permission denied? This is all a bit new to me.
