ZoneMinder Forums

I have been looking at different security systems before coming across ZoneMinder and few offer the feature of audio recording during video recording. Is this a feature that could be added easily to ZoneMinder or is it something that there is just no demand for? Could ZoneMinder trigger another application that I could use to separately record audio? I'm not sure how to integrate the two so that I could simultaneously have audio and video playback. Anyway, thoughts ?

adding it to zoneminder is not overly easy, zone minder stores events as static jpegs, you could probably add something to constnatly record it in zmc or a seperate app entirely depending on the exact feed source and requirements.
