Hello
I bought on of the legendary bluecherry PV149 which is nicely recognised and works out of the box apart from one thing: after a few seconds of grabbing it entirely freezes up the system. Has anyone heard of this before or should I suspect defective hardware?

Suse 11.1 dual Opteron 64
Linux version 2.6.27.23-0.1-default #1 SMP
Asus motherboard, 4G of registered first class ram fully tested,

I tried the card with mplayer as well with the same freezes happeneing. If I use my pinnacle dazzle Dv100 grabbing works fine with both zm and mplayer.

The first things that come to mind are a timing problem from a non-intel chipset, or chip overheating on the card. Heat sinks will fix the one. If you can not go Intel, try turing off everything you can in the BIOS. (Printer, USB...) Then reset ESCD.

The problem solved by selcting v4l version 1 instead of 2.
