Has anyone had any luck using the techwell tw680x cards with zoneminder?
I see there are fairly recent drivers being developed here: http://gitorious.org/tw68

Auctions for Chinese cards based on the techwell 6802/5 10-bit ADC chips are cheap compared to the CX2388x and BT8xx based cards. The 4 channel 120fps cards seem to come in two varieties 4 x TW6802B chips or 2 x TW6805 chips. There is also an 8 channel card with 4 x TW6805 chips for only a few bucks more.. Can anyone explain the difference between the 6802 and the 6805? If these cards now work with linux, I'd be interested to know if the TW6805 can run two channels well from the same chip because its a bit cheaper.

Thanks

From the differences between the two I can spot at the techwell website: the 6805 can operate on a 66mhz clock and has lower power consumption. It also looks like the 6805 can only do one channel real time per chip. That makes me assume that the two chip cards will not do 120fps, can someone confirm or correct?

I couldn't justify the cost if it wasn't going to work so I shelled out a little more for a bt878 based card. It looks like the link in the first post hasn't had any new code changes in a while. At the time it looked like it was still going and might be viable.
