camera selection

Hi,

I am trying to setup a system for my home and office. Would like guidance on the best way to go about selecting cameras and suggestions for models that are reasonably priced and can capture decent quality video.

Home requirements: cameras will be placed at front door, deck door and on drive way. I am assuming that some night/darkness vision capability will be necessary but I could be wrong. Also please suggest a indoor camera to monitor the kids room.

Office: require a four camera system. the majority of the time there is lighting present. can't think of any other constraints in the office.

I am going back and forth between IP vs cctv cams and it seems to me that the advantage of cctv is that it can be connected with a regular tv for viewing as well. please suggest good models of both IP and cctv cams and your suggestions for going with ip or cctv.
