Function = Orange Source = Red HELP??

Hi there.
I have tried multiple distributions of linux, 3 different PCs, and two different webcams. I still cannot get the source to go orange. I have been able to open both cameras in Cheese and VLC with no problem on all the PCs and distributions. What am I missing?
Camera 1 - Logitech C200 USB
Camera 2 - Microsoft VX5000 USB
Help?
