Performance Problem in Camera Monitor

Hello,
when i open the capera Monitor my system needs a long time to show me the Camera Screen and another log time after that it shows me the events (around 20sec.)
My System is a IBM 235 Server with 2 Xeion 3GHz and 8GB Ram, Opensuse 11.1, Camera is in V4L1 mode because i couldnt find out how i can use V4L2.
FPS = 1
Alarm FPS =2

anybody knows the problem and a solution
