Montage view don't shows all monitor

Post by sipi »

Help please!

I updated my zm to 1.24.2 but in montage view don't shows all monitor live pictures (two monitors don't shows pictures) and/or if I open all of monitor views last two don't loaded. Mozilla is only try load, load ...

I see logs but there is nothing, only apache_error.log shows:
[Sat Sep 05 11:12:37 2009] [error] [client 192.168.0.1] socket_sendto( /var/run/zm/zms-320822s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory, referer: http://192.168.0.253/zm/index.php?view=montage&group=0
[Sat Sep 05 11:12:37 2009] [error] [client 192.168.0.1] array (\n 0 => \n array (\n 'file' => '/srv/www/htdocs/zm/ajax/stream.php',\n 'line' => 55,\n 'function' => 'ajaxError',\n 'args' => \n array (\n 0 => 'socket_sendto( /var/run/zm/zms-320822s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory',\n ),\n ),\n 1 => \n array (\n 'file' => '/srv/www/htdocs/zm/index.php',\n 'line' => 116,\n 'args' => \n array (\n 0 => '/srv/www/htdocs/zm/ajax/stream.php',\n ),\n 'function' => 'require_once',\n ),\n), referer: http://192.168.0.253/zm/index.php?view=montage&group=0

I didn't see because there is any socks in /var/run/zms only one zmdc.sock.

I use zm 1.24.2, opensuse 11.1 x86_64, with 17 IP cams that uses zmtrigger.pl to start record.

Somebody can help me?

Thanks

Thanks.

I have just setup a ubuntu 9.04/ZM 1.24.2 box with a PV-149
I had a Centos 5 box set-up with ZM 1.23.x and a PV-143 on it. I think I got spoiled, the Centos box "just worked" but my new set-up is giving me some trouble. It defiantly is picky about the browser you use to view the cameras with. Firefox seems to be the best choice so far from a Linux box, I'll have to try IE when I boot into Windows or kick it up in a VM.

have to tried the mpeg and jpeg switches under the options>Images ?

You might have to restart ZM and or Apache too.

Are you using the CAPTURES_PER_FRAME under options>config ?
I have to set mine to 3 to get anything reasonably stable.

Hi, PatMcLJr

I use 17 IP cams but if I reduce number of cams to 10-12 than montage view shows all 10-12 cams live pictures. But when it load pictures it is slow..

I setting up options>images to auto and stream_method to jpg.

captures_per_frame is default (1) but because I not use analog video capture card.

I restarted my recorder computer several times since I experience it.

I don't think what is it. Why search it a sock what does not exist?

Thanks.

SOLVED!

It is a Firefox problem. The default settings are enough to up to 12-14 cams. I downloaded Firefox plug-in, Tweak Network and set up parameters. It uses two profiles, Default and Power. Default is a standard not help me. I selected Power than Firefox works better but not perfectly. Because I tunning it set up Max connections per server to 20, Max persistent connections per server to 20 and Pipelining max requests to 16.

And it work perfectly with 17 IP cams.
