E-mail not working

Hi Guys,

I think i may have missed the point here,

I am able to send e-mail from the zone mider machine, using the mozzerllai mail tool so i know it's working.

What i'm trying to do is get an e-mail when an alarm is activated.

So my simply understanding is to click on an event and create a filter which i then save and check the e-mail box. is there anything else i need to do at this point. I have set the email server and address in the options area.

Is there any way to send a test message so i know the e-mail is working.

Hi Paul,

That should be all you need to do. If you check the zmfilter logs there might be some indication why it isn't working, most likely a missing perl module. The filter you will need to set up would probably not need anything in it at all unless you want to limit it to specific monitors or magnitudes of alarms. This should then (within a few minutes) be loaded by zmfilter and any new alarms that are generated after that will be emailed. Each event is tagged so you will only get a email once per event.
