I am getting horizontal lines in my video but only were there is motion. I am not sure what the issue is. Its visible in the live view as well as the motion recordings.

I have a Ubuntu 9.04 Server running the lastest build of 1.24.XX (cant think if the exact verision at the moment but its the latest)

I've trying a few differnet settings and the results seem to always be the same.

Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe is your video settings (in the local pc).

If u use an old video card, the refresh of the video stream (the jpeg secuence if u are using this mode) generates this kind of deffect. Try using lower resolutions or loewr color modes.

No it does it on 10 different computers... That an these are CAD workstations with Nvidia FX1700 cards.. My Dell Laptop does the same time. IE or FireFox same thing.. its also in the video if you pull up a still recorded image.

sounds like interlacing, what resolution are you at? try to lower the resolution to 320x240 do this for the camera when at the console it is in the tab titled source
