Hello,

I am planning to use a 500 gb drive in conjunction with a 4 camera setup; I am worried that it may not record for desired time (+ 2 weeks).

is it possible to configure through zoneminder or some sort of script to move old content into another disk once the initial one (500gb) is full, without deleting content.

could it do like an auto archive of content, into another disk that you could have hooked to the machine?

thanks,

i would suggest LVM because you can add or remove drives as need while the system is running

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_Vo ... er_(Linux)

so set up drive like so

10gb os 1g swap and leave 489gb unallocated for now

goggle your distro and lvm follow instructions
or if avaliable in your distro http://www.redhat.com/magazine/009jul05/features/lvm2/

i know its in gentoo ubuntu and fedora
