Hi there, i am new to zoneminder.

I've setup zoneminder as a test on 2.4GHz notebook with about 512MB.
I know that this is not too fast. But it works with usb-webcam logitech quickcam 3000.

All functions work well (motion detection, recording, streaming).

But the live-view (monitor) serves out the pictures delayed.

The picture i see in the monitor, is about 10secs old.
It makes no difference, if set the resultion of the cam to 640x400 or 320x200.
Also no diffrence is if i set the operation to monitor or modetect.

Is this a misconfiguration ? Can it be pushed somewhere ?

I have the same and after couple of days I found in camera setup value
Maximum FPS are set to 5. Leave this empty and try, that make a trick for me

I think you should, as Siki wrote, leave the frame rate blank and set the frame rate on the device instead.

Thnx for your answers, i'll will give it a try.

For now i have set a frame rate of six, seems the fastest, the cam serves out. Now delay is < 1s.
